Museums

The Folklife Museum and Library, and the Country Store at Red Men's Hall, Routes 29 and 63 in Green Lane, PA, have reopened on Sundays, from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm.

Membership

 

Membership in the Goschenhoppen Historians is open to the public. It offers many opportunities in which to participate: meetings, seminars, folklife publications, apprentice program, historic preservation, Country Store Museum, Folklife Museum, Folk Festival, organ recitals and others.

 

Regular monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday evening of each month in the restored, turn-of-the-century meeting room of Red Men's Hall in Green Lane, Pennsylvania. Guest speakers present varied programs throughout the year on subjects such as traditional "Dutch" cooking. Pennsylvania German Architecture, local potteries, township histories, genealogy, folk medicine, Pennsylvania German religious sects and the American Revolution. There is also a Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas party in December.

 

You are invited to become a member of the Goschenhoppen Historians, Inc., and receive the monthly newsletter and other periodic mailings and announcements of events. Membership categories are as follows:

  • $   30.00 Family
  • $   50.00 Contributing (1 Complimentary ticket to Folk Festival)
  • $   80.00 Patron (2 Complimentary tickets to the Folk Festival)
  • $ 250.00 Life - Individual -- (Complimentary Admission to all Folk Festivals upon presentation of Membership Card)
  • $ 350.00 Life - Couple -- (Complimentary Admission to all Folk Festivals upon presentation of Membership Card)
